Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Ahj Travel Tribe LLC ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use the AHJ Travel Tribe trip planner. We are the data controller for this data, which means we decide how and why it is processed.

What we collect and why

• Account details (email address, login credentials, or your Google sign-in profile) to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Trip content (trip names, dates, itineraries, notes, checklists, costs and payments you record) to provide the Service. Legal basis: contract.
• Traveler details you add (names, emails, phone numbers of the people in your group) to track your group and share trips with them. Legal basis: legitimate interests. Please only add people who have agreed.
• Subscription status (plan, renewal dates) to give you the right access. Legal basis: contract.
• Technical and usage data (IP address, device and browser details, logs) for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages to help you when you contact us. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Customer reviews (the name you choose, star rating and comments) to collect feedback and share approved experiences. Legal basis: consent. You can delete your review at any time.
• Newsletter preferences (email, signup source, consent record date and subscription status) to maintain our newsletter list when you choose to join. Previously collected contacts are imported only when they agreed to business emails. Legal basis: consent. Newsletter signup is optional and does not affect account or trip access.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host and run the Service for us (hosting, database, authentication).
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• People you share a trip with. Travelers whose email you add can view that trip.
• Website visitors. When a trip is created, its destination appears in this month's anonymous Triber updates. These updates do not include your name, contact details, trip dates, itinerary or payments.
• Public reviews. If you submit a review, your chosen name, rating and comments become visible to website visitors only after approval. Pending and hidden reviews are visible only to you and the founder.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If your subscription ends, your trips stay available view-only for one month; after that, or when you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep some of it by law.

Your rights

You can withdraw newsletter consent from Newsletter in your account or by emailing us. We keep unsubscribed contacts marked as unsubscribed so importing an older list does not add them again. Active subscriber lists may be shared with a dedicated newsletter service to deliver the emails you requested.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can export your trips at any time with the backup button. To make a request, email ahjtraveltribe@gmail.com; we will respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls that keep each person's trips private, and limited staff access.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and run the Service. We don't use advertising cookies.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
