Ahj Travel Tribe is a small travel company based in New York City, with one goal: to make travel easier to plan and easier to say yes to. Whether you're planning independently or letting us handle the details, we help turn "we should go" into a trip that actually happens. We bring budgets, plans, and people together for a seamless, stress-free planning experience with affordability and peace of mind. Because making memories together should start with excitement, not overwhelm.
Why we made this
Group trips rarely fail at the destination. They fail in the planning: a link nobody clicked, a deposit nobody paid, a date that made sense to three people and not the other five.
So each trip gets one home. The itinerary, the traveler list, who has paid, what is still owed, the checklist nobody remembers out loud. Add someone by email and the trip shows up in their account too. They read it and never have to ask where things stand.
The name
AHJ is the nickname of our founder, A'janaee Brown. A tribe is simply the group you travel with. Our tagline is the whole idea: Out of the group chat. Into the world.

Hey, Triber! I'm A'janaee Brown, but you can call me AJ. I'm a Brooklyn girl with Jamaican roots, a love for exploring, and a passion for bringing people together.
For me, the excitement starts long before takeoff. I love finding the perfect stay, discovering something new to do, and putting the details together so everyone has something to look forward to. After sharing my travel plans online and receiving so much encouragement, I turned that passion into AHJ Travel Tribe.
My goal is simple: help you get the trip out of the group chat and into real life. Because wanting to go is easy. Finding a budget that works, getting everyone on board, and figuring out the details? That's where a little support makes all the difference.
Through AHJ Travel Tribe, I'm bringing that support to you. Whether you want me to plan your getaway or prefer to take the lead yourself, you deserve a planning experience that feels organized, manageable, and exciting. Think thoughtful itineraries, clear plans, and room for everyone's budget, without losing the experiences that make a trip special.
My travels have taken me from Jamaica and St. Lucia to Japan, Thailand, Bali, Dubai, and beyond. I've successfully planned trips for my Tribers to Barbados, Paris, and Greece. Those experiences shape how I plan: with care for the details and the people coming along.

Day-by-day plans with a month calendar, so everyone can see what happens when.

Add people by email and they see the trip in their own account, read-only.

Price each activity, stay or ride per person, or split a total among chosen travelers.

Open a receipt for any payment, export the trip, or back up everything you have.

A'janaee Brown plans trips personally for groups who would rather not run the project themselves. You send the destination, dates and preferences; she builds the itinerary with you. Planning runs $150 for a group of 10 or fewer and $200 for 11 or more, once per trip, and includes two 30-minute Zoom consultations booked on her calendar. Travel bookings and traveler expenses are separate.
Founder trip planningHow we charge
- Planning a trip is $14.99 USD a month, including applicable taxes, starting with a 3-day free trial. No charge if you cancel before it ends.
- Only the trip organizer pays. Everyone you share a trip with views it free.
- A group past 10 people, including the organizer, adds a one-time $9.99 to that trip.
- Founder planning is all-inclusive: no subscription and no group fee on top.
- Subscription refunds can be requested within 14 days of your order date through Paddle.
The plain version of the fine print
Ahj Travel Tribe LLC is registered in New York, United States. Your trips stay private to you and the travelers you add. You can export or back up your trips at any time, cancel whenever you like, and reach the full wording below.
